Job summary

Amentum is seeking engineering expertise to perform tasks related to Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) evolutions on naval ship architectures and systems.

Responsibilities include EMP research, analysis, requirements development, assessments, test and evaluation, and participation in MIL-STD 461 testing at the NOTES facility. Amentum emphasizes a strong emphasis on E3, EMI, EMC, and RF simulation with a TS/SS clearance requirement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
  • 12 years of demonstrated and established knowledge in relevant fields (engineering, science, or tech).
  • 7 years in RDT&E or integration related to warfare or electronic systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in RF/Microwave Engineering; EMP; E3; EMI; EMC; E3 Computation and RF Simulation; PCI shipboard testing.
  • Active Secret or Top Secret US Government Clearance required; US citizenship required for Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform EMP research, analysis, requirements definition and development, assessments, test and evaluation.
  • Assess impacts of E3/EMP on shipboard configurations and systems; perform EMP risk impacts and mission analysis.
  • Assess HEMP effects; develop technical and operational conclusions and write technical reports.
  • Plan and participate in MIL-STD 461 testing at the NOTES test facility.
  • Plan and participate in LLCW testing; perform data acquisition and analysis; refine LLCW SOPs.
