Job summary

Globalli is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to strengthen the Quality Engineering team for a global HR and payroll SaaS platform. You will own automation across UI, API, and microservices while shaping testing infrastructure.

You will work with product owners early in development, write robust test code with TypeScript and Zod, and mentor peers in testability and release confidence. Strong collaboration across time zones is expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automation in production software environments.
• Proficient with TypeScript and clean, readable test code.
• Experience with Playwright and/or Cypress for UI and API testing.
• Familiarity with schema validation libraries like Zod.
• Knowledge of STLC, tests patterns, and end-to-end design.
• API testing using Postman and REST-assured across interfaces.
• Bug tracking and test management in Jira/Xray.
• Experience testing microservice architectures and service isolation.
• Comfortable in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaboration with product owners.
• Ability to test external dependencies and third-party integrations.
• Strong debugging, reproducibility, and clear bug reporting.
• Mentoring others on testing practices and quality ownership.
• Awareness of AI-assisted development tools and appropriate usage.
• Detail-oriented mindset suited to fast-paced teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated E2E tests for UI, API, and integrations.
• Embed shift-left practices in sprint planning and design reviews.
• Own regression testing, exploratory testing, and production validation.
• Write type-safe test code using TS and Zod to minimize false positives.
• Build and maintain tests with Playwright/Cypress for critical flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines for fast feedback to developers.
• Create API test coverage with Postman and REST-assured.
• Test event-driven workflows across microservice boundaries.
• Identify coverage gaps and drive resolution with the team.
• Collaborate with QA and development teams on standards and tooling.
• Track and triage bugs using Jira/Xray; mentor others on testing practices.
