Job summary

Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Senior Underwriter in our E&S Property team. This role will involve collaborating with a team to assess various types of commercial risks and ensuring underwriting guidelines are met.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience, preferably in Manufacturing/Industrial occupancies. The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $170,000 based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of insurance underwriting experience; emphasis on Manufacturing / Industrial occupancies preferred.
• Strong attention to detail & negotiation skills.
• Experience successfully underwriting, quoting, and binding profitable business.

Responsibilities

• Review applications and financial requirements to determine acceptability of risk.
• Understand pricing components and rating methodology.
• Adhere to CAT guidelines and minimize exposure.
