Job summary

Ascot Group in the United States is seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter, E&S Casualty – Complex Risk to manage large, sophisticated accounts and broker relationships. The role requires strong technical underwriting skills, independent judgment, and the ability to work within delegated authority.

You will partner with wholesale brokers, structure coverage solutions, and contribute to profitability while adhering to Ascot's collaborative culture and The Ascot Way.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years underwriting experience in P&C with General Liability and Excess Liability preferred.
• Experience in the Complex Risk space of E&S Casualty.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a profitable Complex Risk portfolio through disciplined underwriting and execution of the unit’s strategy.
• Underwrite and negotiate large, sophisticated casualty risks including accounts with revenues >$100M and fleets >100 power units.
• Work independently within delegated underwriting authority and make referrals as required.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with peers, leaders and internal partners to identify cross-selling opportunities and operational excellence.
• Foster relationships with wholesale brokers to market Ascot’s products and provide superior service to brokers and clients.
