Job summary

Starr Insurance Companies is seeking an experienced professional to manage E&O claims within the Professional Liability/Cyber Claims Group. You will evaluate coverage, investigate claims, manage defense counsel and legal spend, assess exposure, and negotiate good faith resolutions.

Strong knowledge of US law and policy language is required, with JD preferred. The role demands leadership in defense strategy, excellent communication, and the ability to multi-task across complex files.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in the insurance/legal field focusing on Professional Lines claims.
• Strong understanding of policy language and coverage determination.
• Experience managing E&O claims, including class actions.
• Ability to lead defense strategy and negotiate resolutions.
• Knowledge of US civil litigation and ADR processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Bachelor’s degree; JD preferred.
