Job summary
CF Industries is seeking an I&E Maintenance Technician to provide technical skill and guidance to execute Instrument and Electrical maintenance and support new project construction across Distribution Facilities.
Candidates should have 5–10 years in plant I&E, PLC/HMI installation experience, and be willing to travel 70–80% of the time. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package in a safety-focused environment.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in plant Instrument & Electrical dept or related work.
- Undergraduate technical degree helpful, but not required.
- Deep background in instrumentation and controls with emphasis on PLC/HMI installations.
- Familiarity with Modicon and AB PLC software including RS Logix and RS Studio.
- OSHA process safety management experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides project design, installation, and documentation.
- Installs and maintains Instrument & Electrical equipment at Distribution Facilities.
- Assists engineering and/or other I&E personnel on projects.
- Supervises external Instrument & Electrical contractors during major work.
- Develops and maintains facility process documentation (P&IDs, prints).
- Trains operations personnel in troubleshooting Instrument & Electrical equipment.
- Assists in establishing preventive maintenance programs for I&E equipment.
