Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an E&I Superintendent to lead the electrical & instrumentation maintenance team at our South Carolina mill. You will drive reliability improvements, manage safety programs, and coordinate across maintenance and operations to optimize performance.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 7+ years in the paper industry and supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, and drives is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 7+ years of experience.
• Supervisory or management experience is required.
• Experience with process instrumentation, DCS, PLCs, drive systems, and motor control centers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the E&I maintenance organization to improve mill reliability.
• Develop, implement, and maintain safe E&I policies and procedures.
• Oversee repairs, inspections, and maintenance records for E&I systems.
• Investigate problems to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate efforts with maintenance and operating departments to meet safety and performance goals.
