Job summary

SYCON International, based in Lafayette, LA, seeks an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician III to install, troubleshoot, test, and commission industrial electrical and control systems. The role requires leading small field crews, mentoring Technician I & II, and coordinating daily field activities with project leadership.

You will work with safety standards (OSHA, NFPA 70E) and read loop drawings, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Approximately 5–7 years of industrial Electrical and Instrumentation experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, loop drawings, and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned work independently with minimal supervision.
• Lead small field crews on assigned work activities.
• Coordinate daily tasks with project leadership.
• Train and mentor Technician I personnel.
• Maintain productive working relationships with customers and other trades.
• Report project progress and field issues to project leadership.
