Job summary

STARCON International, Inc. in Port Allen, LA seeks an experienced Supervisor for Instrumentation & Electrical to lead field teams on large projects.

You will plan schedules, review drawings, ensure NEC/NFPA 70E/OSHA compliance, and oversee commissioning of instrumentation systems including PLCs. The role requires 7+ years of industrial E&I experience with 2+ years in a supervisory role, a valid Journeyman license, and safety certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years hands-on industrial electrical and instrumentation experience.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Valid State Journeyman Electrician License required.
• OSHA 10 and NFPA 70E Arc Flash certifications required.
• Must read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate I&E teams across multiple sites.
• Plan and schedule I&E work to meet milestones.
• Review electrical and instrumentation drawings and specs.
• Ensure NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA compliance and safety policies.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of instrumentation systems and PLCs.
• Manage power distribution, MCCs, and grounding systems.
• Conduct site audits and progress inspections.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to resolve field issues.
• Maintain daily reports, timekeeping, material tracking, and change orders.
• Lead safety meetings and training; mentor foremen and technicians.
