Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior E&I Estimator to lead the preparation of lump sum, unit rate and cost plus estimates in support of proposals and project controls.

You will coordinate estimating across disciplines, supervise staff, and contribute to continuity and accuracy of project cost data. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and mentorship in a dynamic, owner‑employee governed environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience, including estimating experience.
• Able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search).
• Proven ability to prepare and review cost estimates across proposals and projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cost estimates on proposals, projects and studies and ensures the estimate content is complete and accurate.
• Plan, coordinate, review, verify and analyze all aspects of estimates and presentation.
• Direct, train and develop subordinates within the estimating team.
• Maintain the company estimating database and coordinate estimation factors with Engineering Operations, Procurement and Construction.
• Provide technical advice to Project Manager for all levels of estimates from simple to complex.
