Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 3+ years of experience to design electrical and instrumentation systems for industrial projects. You will work under general supervision to produce designs, calculations, and drawings, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure project success.

Responsibilities include preparing preliminary designs, material take-offs, and ensuring conformance to codes and client specifications, with field support as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Familiarity with construction bulk materials and equipment specs.
• Ability to perform lighting level and voltage drop calculations.
• Ability to size wiring, conduit, and overcurrent protection for lighting and power.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete electrical and instrumentation design work under general supervision.
• Produce preliminary designs, material take-offs, calculations, and sketches for construction.
• Check other engineers' calculations for accuracy and conformance to codes and design criteria.
• Develop construction specifications and review vendor drawings for electrical input.
• Provide field support and assist drafting in resolving layout and detailing issues.
