Job summary

Collins Aerospace, Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a Principal Engineer for E&E Engineering. You will coordinate design, development, testing and documentation of electrical systems and components for aerospace applications.

The role requires a bachelor’s (or master’s) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 8+ years (5+ with master's) of relevant experience, including PCB design and environmental qualification (DO-0169). On-site work with occasional travel to Florida facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 8+ years’ experience, or Master’s with 5+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years of experience with DO0169 Environmental Qualification.
• 4+ years of Electrical Design experience.
• 3+ years of PCB Design experience.
• 2+ years of project management experience.
• Non-US Person must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of electronic equipment within schedule and budget.
• Research, develop, design and test electrical components, equipment and systems to meet objectives.
• Prepare sketches of specifications to construct or install equipment, facilities, or systems.
• Prepare documentation on product development, costs and performance weaknesses to track progress.
• Perform R&D and design of new products to meet quality standards and business goals.
