Cara Veterinary in Seattle is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner – DVM Recruiting to own our DVM recruiting strategy, build a sustainable pipeline of veterinary talent, and help ensure our hospitals have the DVM capacity they need to thrive.

You'll lead full-cycle recruiting, engage with veterinary schools and students, attend conferences, and partner with Medical Leadership, Operations, and the People Team to forecast capacity and attract top talent.

Qualifications

• Significant full-cycle recruiting, talent acquisition, executive search experience.
• Proactively sourcing and closing hard-to-find talent in competitive markets.
• Strong passive candidate sourcing and relationship-building skills.
• Experience building and maintaining long-term talent pipelines.
• Strong closing, negotiation, and candidate management skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple searches and competing priorities.
• Comfort using recruiting data to measure results and guide strategy.
• Strong communication, networking, and presentation skills.
• Veterinary recruiting experience strongly preferred; healthcare recruiting can translate.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle DVM recruiting from proactive sourcing through accepted offer.
• Build and nurture relationships with active and passive DVM candidates.
• Maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects for hiring needs.
• Partner with Medical Leadership, Operations, Hospital Leaders, and People Team on DVM capacity.
• Develop relationships with veterinary schools, students, externs, and other talent sources.
• Represent Cara at conferences, career fairs, universities, networking events.
• Bring market intelligence on compensation trends, candidate expectations, and recruiting challenges.
• Use recruiting data to understand pipeline health and time to fill.
