Job summary

NVIDIA in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior DTCO Engineer, CPU Physical Design to optimize next‑generation CPUs. You will evaluate process technologies, run synthesis, place-and-route, and static timing analysis to understand power, performance and area, while coordinating with foundry partners, IP development, and hardware design teams.

You should have 5+ years of relevant experience and a Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, plus strong DTCO and physical-design expertise.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Python, Tcl, Perl, and AI tools.
• Strong background in advanced-node silicon design and physical-design methodology.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate advanced process technologies and shape technology choices for CPUs.
• Run synthesis, place-and-route, and static timing analysis to assess PPA.
• Coordinate with foundry, IP, and hardware teams during early development.
• Identify bottlenecks and project technology-node scaling.
