Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security in El Segundo, CA seeks Lead or Senior DSP Systems Engineer to design and develop state-of-the-art space-based communication systems for commercial, civil, and national security programs. You will work with a focused team across contracts from concept through system definition and unit testing.

The role requires US citizenship and ability to obtain a final U.S. Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• BS in engineering/CS/related STEM field.
• 1+ year of experience with signal or image processing.
• 5+ years of experience with electronic systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RF, digital, and optical satellite communication systems.
• Develop and verify multi-rate, fixed-point DSP architectures.
• Allocate, define, and verify requirements and interfaces for communication digital payloads.
• Develop performance and link budgets.
• Conduct performance analysis of signal processing models.
• Assist with trade studies.
• Develop prototype demonstrations on flight-like testbeds.
• Support unit-level integration and performance simulations.
• Support ASIC/FPGA level system design and verification.
• Support hardware procurement and design reviews.
