Starkey Hearing in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead DSP research for ear-level devices and hearing aids in the Algorithms Group. You will plan and execute collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to translate breakthroughs into commercial products and patents, with mentorship of junior engineers.

The role requires a Master’s in Electrical Engineering or related field, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong skills in Matlab, Python, and C/C++.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• Senior Engineer I: a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience is required with a master’s degree.
• Advanced knowledge of digital signal processing and its applications.
• Proficiency in Matlab, Python and C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Research digital signal processing algorithms for hearing aids.
• Propose the research project plan and review literature/patents.
• Prototype the algorithm candidates using simulation and platforms.
• Collaborate with product development to transfer results to products.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
