Actalent is seeking a DSP Software Engineer to lead firmware and real-time embedded software for advanced audio communication products. You will guide hardware/software integration, drive process improvements, and manage long-term product support while maintaining high reliability and compliance.
The role combines hands-on technical work with strategic engineering management, requiring strong leadership, collaboration with product teams, and ability to travel domestically and internationally
Qualifications
- Bachelors in software/engineering or related field required.
- 10+ years in software/firmware development for RTOS/embedded systems.
- 5+ years engineering management leading firmware teams.
- Strong embedded C/C++ and Linux experience.
- Experience with DevOps and GitLab for source control and CI/CD.
Responsibilities
- Lead firmware and real-time embedded software development for audio products.
- Own continuation engineering and long-term product support.
- Collaborate with Product Management to align requirements and execution.
- Improve engineering processes, CI/CD toolchains, and testing frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership in system-level design and hardware/software integration.
