Job summary

E-Space in Santa Clara is seeking an experienced DSP engineer to own the design, implementation, and integration of a 5G NR PHY subsystem for satellite NTN, translating requirements into efficient algorithms, firmware interfaces, and measurable acceptance criteria.

Partner with ASIC, verification, and software teams to optimize real-time DSP, drive pre-silicon validation, and deliver reference models and test vectors.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in EE/CE or related field with extensive DSP/wireless experience.
• 7+ years in DSP, wireless or embedded modem development preferred.
• Ability to translate requirements into subsystem designs and validation plans.
• Experience converting floating-point to fixed-point with performance validation.

Responsibilities

• Independently own the design, implementation, and integration of a 5G NR PHY subsystem for satellite NTN.
• Define and execute PHY/link-level simulations; optimize tradeoffs among performance, latency, memory, and power.
• Deliver and optimize production DSP firmware with real-time processing and accelerator interaction.
• Manage reference models and ASIC test vectors, including fixed-point behavior and regression coverage.
• Contribute to SystemC/TLM modeling and high-level synthesis with guidance from experienced engineers.
• Drive pre-silicon verification and chip bring-up; define tests and resolve discrepancies across teams.
• Review algorithms and code; mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-team dependencies.
