Job summary

E-Space is building a groundbreaking LEO satellite system from Santa Clara, delivering secure, scalable IoT connectivity from space. This full-time, exempt role focuses on DSP/DSP firmware for 5G NR PHY processing, SystemC modeling, and pre-silicon verification in a fast-paced space-tech environment.

The position offers competitive base pay with a total compensation package, and may involve extended hours during critical phases. Sponsorship is not available for this location.

Qualifications

• DSP and digital-communications fundamentals, including sampling, filtering, modulation, OFDM, synchronization, channel estimation, and error-correction concepts.
• Ability to implement and debug numerical algorithms in C/C++, and to use Python or MATLAB for simulation, analysis, and test automation.
• Working knowledge of wireless PHY processing and the ability to translate technical specifications into implementation and test cases.
• Understanding fixed-point arithmetic, quantization, overflow, and numerical precision.
• Understanding embedded software constraints, including execution time and memory usage.
• Ability to build reproducible tests, use version control, and document assumptions and results.

Responsibilities

• Implement and evaluate DSP and 5G NR PHY functions for satellite communications.
• Develop and run PHY/link-level simulations under satellite channel conditions.
• Develop, test, and optimize C/C++ DSP firmware for 5G NR PHY processing.
• Create reference models and testing vectors for ASIC designers and verification engineers.
• Contribute to SystemC TLM and high-level synthesis development.
• Support pre-silicon verification and chip bring-up by running regressions and documenting fixes.
• Collaborate with ASIC, verification, and software engineers to resolve issues.
