Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. seeks a Senior Deterministic Safety Analysis Engineer to support LOCA and containment analyses for BWRX-300. You will develop, maintain, and apply DSA methods using TRACG, GOTHIC, and related tools, with focus on LOCA mass‑energy releases and containment performance.

The role involves preparing technical reports, regulatory submittals, and collaboration with cross‑disciplinary teams to ensure regulatory compliance and high‑quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in engineering with nuclear, mechanical, physics or similar.
• 8+ years nuclear experience; 5+ years in thermal-hydraulic safety analysis (LOCA/containment preferred).
• Eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled information.
• Experience with BWRLOCA/containment analysis, and use of TH codes (TRACG, GOTHIC, RELAP/TRACE).

Responsibilities

• Lead projects in AOOs, ATWs, Reactor Heat Balance, and Thermal Hydraulic Fuel Channel Analyses.
• Serve as SME for BWRX-300 LOCA and containment behavior; develop/apply DSA methods.
• Perform plant TH evaluations for LOCA, HELB, containment, PCCS/ICS, and Fire Safe Shutdown.
• Develop, document, and apply TRACG- and GOTHIC-based models; CN-DSA/EX-DSA applications.
• Deliver high‑quality technical reports, regulatory submittals, and RAIs responses.
• Present complex LOCA/containment issues to regulators, utilities, and partners.
• Collaborate with interfacing teams across mechanical, core, licensing, and systems design.
