Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a qualified engineer to join the LOCA and Containment Team, performing plant thermal-hydraulic safety analyses for BWR and related reactor designs.

The role covers reload analyses, method implementation, power uprates, and supporting emergent fuel issues, with collaboration across design, licensing, and systems teams to deliver robust safety analyses and customer solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Nuclear/Mechanical/Chemical) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in thermal hydraulic nuclear plant safety analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform plant thermal hydraulic evaluations in ECCS LOCA, Containment, HELB, Fire Safe Shutdown.
• Lead analyses for reloads, methods implementation, power uprates, and emergent fuel issues.
• Collaborate with mechanical, core, licensing, and systems teams to deliver safe solutions.
• Prepare and present technical data to internal/external customers.
• Mentor teammates and develop knowledge management procedures.
