Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking an experienced Survey Party Chief / Senior Pilot Surveyor in McDonough, GA to lead drone-based land surveying for residential, commercial, municipal, and infrastructure projects.

The role combines traditional land surveying with UAV technology, requiring field leadership, GPS and Total Station proficiency, and familiarity with ALTA/NSPS and FEMA elevations. FAA Part 107 certification is preferred. This position offers full benefits and a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

3+ years of land surveying experience.
1+ years as Survey Crew Chief, Party Chief, or Field Supervisor.
FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate preferred.
Experience operating drones/UAS for surveying, mapping, or geospatial applications.
Proficiency with GPS, total stations, and data collectors.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a 2-3 person survey field crew on land surveying projects.
Conduct boundary, topographic, construction layout, ALTA/NSPS, and FEMA elevation surveys.
Operate drones/UAS platforms to capture survey and mapping data.
Utilize GPS, total stations, and data collectors to gather field information.
Interpret survey plans, legal descriptions, deeds, plats, and project specifications.
Coordinate with office survey staff, contractors, clients, and project stakeholders.
Document field notes, sketches, asset tracking data, and survey deliverables.
Ensure field operations are performed safely and in compliance with surveying standards.
