Job summary

ZenaTech is seeking a Survey Party Chief/Senior Pilot Surveyor to lead drone-based land surveying on residential, commercial, and municipal projects in the Dallas area. The role requires directing a field crew, ensuring accurate data collection, and coordinating with office staff and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of land surveying experience with at least 2 years as a crew chief.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate required; drone experience essential.
• Ability to interpret plans, legal documents, and field notes with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead a two- to three-person field crew in boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and FEMA elevation surveys.
• Direct field surveys and ensure accurate data collection and documentation.
• Coordinate with office staff, clients, and contractors to ensure timely, safe surveys.
• Operate and troubleshoot survey instruments (total stations, GPS, data collectors).
• Perform field labor tasks including monument setup, staking, and lifting survey equipment up to 75 lbs.
• Maintain field notes, sketches, and barcode scans for asset tracking.
