Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Product Quality Engineer to define and implement high‑quality processes for Bolt and related drone hardware. You’ll collaborate with Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Software, and Test teams to ensure product maturity, reliability, and manufacturability.

The role requires 8+ years in engineering/quality for defense hardware, experience with FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, GD&T, DOE, and SPC, plus the ability to lead RCCA, MRB, and quality data analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar STEM fields.
• 8+ years of experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality in Drone systems, Camera/sensors, aeronautics/defense systems or similar hardware.
• Hands-on experience in system architecture, mechanical or electrical design, design review of precision mechanical, PCBA, harnessing, avionics, systems integration, composites, propulsion systems, and/or lethality systems.
• Experience driving product quality and performance requirements to test and measurement system development and optimization.
• Experience leading the transition from engineering/design qualification to manufacturing/production and verification and validation for product quality coverage.
• Working knowledge of FMEA, APQP, PPAP elements such as MSA, and GD&T.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing processes.
• Working knowledge of DOE and SPC methodologies.
• A strong ownership mindset with demonstrated capability to drive projects from start to completion.
• Analytical skills and experiences for data mining, data quality, metrics generation, issue management systems, and statistical analysis tools (MatLab, JMP, MiniTab).
• Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. S/TS security clearance

Responsibilities

• Execute and ensure deliverables for Product Development Process during NPI with cross-functional teams.
• Drive product development and production for quad-copter drones including reviews, process development, inspection, test metrics.
• Define quality plans and resolve ambiguities across maturity and field performance.
• Own MRO disposition and perform root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
• Champion transition from NPI to scalable manufacturing and supply chain.
• Own product risk definition and elimination; manage quality issues from concept to field use.
• Define and improve product and process requirements.
• Work cross-functionally to define and execute product roadmap and customer acceptance testing.
• Lead RCCA, MRB activities and review effectiveness of actions.
• Lead product health data analysis and establish quality metrics.
• Support QMS improvements and required documentation.
• Support investigations and projects at team/organization level.
• Drive development and production for Bolt with similar activities.
• Lead production clarity resolutions for maturity and field performance.
• Coordinate GSI, GMIP, and DCMA process evaluations with DCMA QAS POC through handoff to logistics.
