Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer for Drones to bridge design and high-volume production of UAS platforms such as Bolt, Ghost, and Anvil. You will guide manufacturing from early design through ramp, focusing on cost, quality, and scalability.

You will build and lead a cross-functional team, drive design-for-manufacturing improvements, and own critical documentation while enabling rapid production growth for next-generation autonomous systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, math, or a hard science.
• 5+ years in manufacturing or prototyping.
• Proven team leadership with track record.
• Commitment to mission assurance, quality, and detail.
• Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of Manufacturing Engineers.
• Lead transition from concept to prototype, pilot, and full production.
• Provide daily sustaining support for product lines (mechanical, electrical, software).
• Collaborate with design, quality, and supply chain to design for manufacturing.
• Own MBOMs, work instructions, and manufacturing requirements documentation.
• Advise on quality management and business applications in manufacturing.
• Facilitate make-versus-buy decisions with internal supply chain teams.
• Contribute to hardware design including interconnects and board fabrication.
• Analyze metrics for cost reduction and capacity improvements.
• Drive innovation, teamwork, and accountability within the team.
