Job summary

Amazon in Ocala, FL is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician for Prime Air. You will maintain drones and related equipment, ensure safety and compliance with FAA regulations, and work with engineering, flight operations, and Prime Air teams.

The role includes training and mentoring Repair Technicians, managing spare parts, and leading maintenance activities across shifts including nights and weekends. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience.
• Experience guiding, training and mentoring others.
• Experience with common business applications and tools (i.e. Microsoft Office, ie. Word, Excel, etc.)
• Can carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach
• Travel up to 25% of the time

Responsibilities

• Drive time-based and condition-based maintenance activities
• Own fleet performance metrics
• Verify adherence to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes
• Manage fleet spare parts and inventory
• Train and and mentor other Repair Technicians
• Assign shift roster and oversee Repair Technicians
• Demonstrate proactive safety mindset in ambiguous situations
• Follow detailed instructions outlined in technical manuals
