Job summary

Amazon's Prime Air is seeking an experienced Sr. Repair Technician to maintain drones at the Suffolk, VA operation. You will lead maintenance activities, ensure FAA compliance, manage spare parts, and train a team of Repair Technicians.

This on-site role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long shifts, and travel up to 25%. Shift flexibility including nights/weekends is expected as Prime Air delivers rapid, safe services.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience.
• Experience guiding, training and mentoring others.
• Experience with common business applications and tools (i.e. Microsoft Office, ie. Word, Excel, etc.).
• Can carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Drive time-based and condition-based maintenance activities.
• Own fleet performance metrics.
• Verify adherence to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes.
• Manage fleet spare parts and inventory.
• Train and mentor other Repair Technicians.
• Assign shift roster and oversee Repair Technicians.
• Demonstrate proactive safety mindset in ambiguous situations.
• Follow detailed instructions outlined in technical manuals.
