Job summary

Turner Mining Group is seeking a Project Geologist to plan, execute, and interpret drilling programs to support resource growth and project development. The role collaborates with geology, technical services, and operations to ensure accurate data collection and safe execution.

You will lead field programs from target generation through drilling execution and data interpretation, ensuring data integration for informed decision-making. Strong QA/QC and field‑based collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mineral exploration or mine geology.
• Experience in underground mining operations.
• Hands-on experience with drilling programs and geological data collection.
• Strong understanding of geological logging, sampling, and QA/QC procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead surface and underground drilling programs from planning through execution.
• Ensure accurate geological logging, sampling, and data collection for drill programs.
• Supervise and coordinate drilling contractors, vendors, and field teams.
• Develop and refine geological models to support resource definition and exploration targeting.
• Conduct geological mapping and sampling programs, including rock, soil, and structural mapping.
• Manage sample preparation, submission, and assay tracking.
• Implement and maintain QA/QC protocols to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Analyze and interpret geological, geochemical, and drilling data.
• Utilize Leapfrog or similar software to generate models, sections, and reports.
• Support exploration targeting and contribute to technical decision-making.
• Provide regular updates and communicate results to internal stakeholders.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence.
