Job summary

Turner Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Senior Geologist for a direct-hire opportunity in Arizona. The role provides technical leadership for geological programs supporting exploration, resource evaluation, mine development, and project advancement.

You will lead core logging, geological interpretation and modeling, drilling programs, QA/QC activities, and data management while collaborating with engineering, mining, metallurgical, and environmental teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related field.
Minimum of five years of experience in mineral exploration, mine geology, or a related discipline.
Experience supporting and overseeing drilling programs and geological modeling.
Experience with GIS, 3D geological interpretation, and data systems such as Leapfrog Geo and ArcGIS.
Strong knowledge of sampling protocols, QA/QC procedures, core logging practices, RQD, oriented core technology, and geological databases.

Responsibilities

Lead diamond drill core and RC chip logging, sampling, and geological interpretation.
Mentor and provide technical oversight to junior geologists, core technicians, and contract personnel.
Ensure QA/QC protocols are followed for drilling and sampling activities.
Design and oversee drilling programs focused on resource confirmation, infill drilling, and exploration.
Develop and maintain geological models, cross-sections, and supporting datasets.
Prepare technical presentations, summaries, and program updates for management.
