Capstone Copper Pinto Valley is seeking a Mining Engineer to lead drilling and blasting design for our open-pit operations in central Arizona. You will ensure safety compliance, coordinate with stakeholders, and manage budgets for drilling and blasting services.

The role requires 5–10 years of mining experience, a Bachelors in Mine Engineering, and strong English communication skills. This onsite position offers competitive benefits and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Mine Engineering is required; Masters preferred but not required.
• Experience in drill-blast-load-haul open pit mining sequence is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drilling and blasting design for open-pit operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, MSHA, and company policies.
• Collaborate with geotechnical engineers on blast design and sequencing.
• Manage budgets and contracts for drilling/blasting services.
• Contribute to continuous improvement through data analysis and KPI tracking.
• Maintain QA/QC of drilling and blasting processes.
