Job summary

Methodist Health System in Dallas, TX is seeking a Coder 2 to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and code inpatient and outpatient diagnoses and procedures using ICD10-CM, ICD10-PCS and CPT codes for optimal reimbursement.

This role establishes a robust database for case mix indices and supports statistical reporting and trend analysis. Hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or its equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of DRG based coding in an acute care hospital with encoder experience.
• Proficient in detailed work and handling confidential patient information.
• Excellent written and oral communication with physicians, other health care workers, administration, and health information management staff
