Job summary

BGE, Inc. is seeking an experienced Drainage Engineer to design and manage drainage projects for municipal and public infrastructure in Texas.

The role involves hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, detention facilities, and coordinating with roadway, water, and sewer teams to deliver integrated solutions. Proficiency with ORD-DU/OpenRoads, MicroStation, and AutoCAD is preferred, with a PE license or Texas reciprocity planned within six months.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• PE license required or ability to obtain Texas reciprocity within six months.
• Minimum 5 years of drainage engineering experience for municipal/public works.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review drainage design plans and hydrologic/hydraulic calculations for public infrastructure.
• Develop stormwater management solutions meeting regulatory requirements.
• Perform drainage analyses, sizing, detention pond analysis, and cost estimates for public works.
• Use ORD-DU and other design software to analyze drainage systems and flood risk.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate drainage into projects.
• Prepare deliverables for municipal clients, including reports and permit applications.
• Participate in client meetings and agency reviews.
• Provide technical support during design, QA, and construction administration.
