Job summary

Volkert, Inc. seeks a Senior Drainage Project Engineer to support the Southwest Region across Austin, Houston, McKinney, Rockwall, Round Rock, San Antonio, or Tyler, TX. You will lead data-driven drainage design using OpenRoads Designer and coordinate TxDOT requirements.

Requirements include 10+ years in drainage/water resources with TxDOT, PE licensure (or within 6 months), and ability to mentor staff. Volkert offers ESOP and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 10+ years of drainage/water resources and TxDOT experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data for project plans and reports.
• Design stormwater and drainage systems using OpenRoads Designer.
• Build hydrologic and hydraulic models for transportation projects.
• Coordinate permitting with regulatory and water management agencies.
• Mentor junior staff and oversee design activities.
