Job summary

Volkert Inc. is seeking a Senior Drainage Project Engineer to support the Southwest Region across multiple Texas cities. The role requires 10+ years of drainage/water resources and TxDOT experience, with proficiency in OpenRoads Designer and related design tools.

You will lead data collection, model development, permitting, and cross-disciplinary collaboration while mentoring junior staff and supporting project delivery within budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Valid Professional Engineer licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 10+ years of progressive drainage/water resources and TxDOT experience.
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer, Storm CAD, ICPR, HEC-RAS, GIS and/or SUDA.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data for Project Plans and reports.
• Design stormwater and storm drain systems using engineering software.
• Analyze hydrologic and hydraulic models for Transportation Improvement projects.
• Prepare and modify engineering reports, calculations, and schedules.
