Volkert Inc. is seeking an experienced Drainage Project Engineer to support the Southwest Region with offices in Austin, Houston, McKinney, Rockwall, Round Rock, San Antonio or Tyler, TX. This role requires 4–6 years in drainage/water resources with TxDOT experience.

You will collect data for project plans, design stormwater systems, model hydrology/hydraulic aspects, and assist with permitting and reports. Collaboration across disciplines and mentoring junior staff are key components.

Competenze

• BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Valid PE licensure preferred or achievable within 6 months.
• 4–6 years of drainage/water resources and TxDOT experience.
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer, StormCAD, ICPR, HEC-RAS, GIS and/or SUDA.

Mansioni

• Collect and analyze data for inclusion in Project Plans and reports.
• Design stormwater management and storm drain systems; model hydrology/hydraulics for Transportation Improvement projects.
• Perform permitting with regulatory and water management agencies.
• Prepare project plans using OpenRoads Designer and contribute to reports and calculations.
• Review quantities, estimates, and drawings for compliance; assist in schedules.
• Collaborate across disciplines; mentor junior staff and oversee design activities.
