Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. (DEA) is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer to provide technical leadership on complex transportation projects in California.

You will mentor engineers, perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, and develop drainage solutions for highways, interchanges, and other infrastructure. You will collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, oversee OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD, Civil 3D tasks, and deliver high-quality designs while supporting DEA's Roads &

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• PE license in California or reciprocity within six months of hire.
• Minimum 10 years of drainage engineering experience for transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead drainage engineering teams on freeway, highway, interchange, and multimodal projects.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support planning, design and construction.
• Design drainage systems including culverts, detention and water quality facilities, and bridge drainage.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and support DEA's California drainage practice.
