Job summary

STV is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer to lead drainage design for transportation projects across the West, including California and the Northwest. The role emphasizes technical leadership, mentoring junior staff, and building relationships with public-sector clients while delivering high-visibility infrastructure programs.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
• 13-18 years in drainage design for transportation projects.
• PE license in WA/OR/CA (preferred) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Proven hydrology/hydraulic analysis experience with listed software.
• Experience with BMPs, LID, erosion control, and stormwater permitting.

Responsibilities

• Lead drainage engineering design for transportation projects (roads, rail, bridges).
• Oversee stormwater and culvert design; manage hydraulic analyses and regulatory coordination.
• Prepare reports, cost estimates, and design documentation with QA/QC focus.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with cross‑discipline teams and clients.
