Senior Drainage Engineer (PE)

This individual will play a key role in the planning, analysis, and design of stormwater systems for FDOT and local agency projects while serving as Engineer of Record on a variety of transportation assignments. Responsibilities
- Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) for FDOT transportation projects
- Lead drainage design and stormwater management efforts for roadway and highway improvements
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, scour evaluations, and drainage studies
- Design drainage systems, ditches, stormwater facilities, and related infrastructure
- Prepare technical reports, permit packages, construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Utilize HEC-RAS, ICPR, SWMM, and other industry software for modeling and analysis
- Conduct field investigations and coordinate with survey, roadway, and environmental teams
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 7+ years of drainage engineering experience supporting transportation projects
- Experience serving as Engineer of Record or signing and sealing drainage plans preferred
- Strong understanding of FDOT drainage design standards and permitting requirements
- Proficiency with HEC-RAS, ICPR, Civil 3D, OpenRoads Designer, and/or FDOT Connect
- Experience working with FDOT and other Florida transportation agencies
- Strong communication and project coordination skills
