Senior Drafting & Configuration Management Specialist

Job Category: Engineering and Technical Support

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Senior Drafting & Configuration Management Specialist to support strategic mission systems at the Global Operations Center (GOC) for USSTRATCOM. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy, quality, and integrity of technical documentation and system configurations critical to mission success. The position is based in Omaha, Nebraska, contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare, review, revise, and produce product drawings, specifications, and parts lists for SCITLS integration and installation.
  2. Support engineering services in developing 3D modeling and CAD.
  3. Develop drawings and designs using CAE tools.
  4. Ensure drawings meet DoD standards and contain sufficient detail for engineering evaluation, equipment integration, and procurement.
  5. Prepare non-dimensional and Level II production drawings and procurement packages.
  6. Apply comprehensive knowledge to high-impact assignments and serve as a technical expert.
  7. Work rotating shifts as required by mission needs.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned to meet mission requirements and support USSTRATCOM objectives, including guiding or supervising others if applicable.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Top Secret with SCI eligibility
  • High School Diploma (Bachelor’s preferred)
  • At least 7 years of experience in CAD and configuration management, preferably in defense or aerospace sectors
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and configuration management tools
  • Additional certifications are not applicable

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Pay Range: $49,700 - $101,800, depending on various factors including location, experience, skills, and certifications. We offer comprehensive benefits supporting health, wellness, financial security, and education. Learn more here.
