Sterling Construction Company, Inc. in Boise, ID is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely operate large production bulldozers (primarily CAT D9/D10) and support rock push, mass excavation, and site development tasks.

The role requires coordinating with other heavy equipment to move material efficiently and safely on heavy civil projects. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience operating large bulldozers, with strong safety awareness and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and varying

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience operating large bulldozers in heavy civil, mining, quarry, mass excavation, or large earthwork projects.
• Experience operating CAT D9 and D10 dozers or equivalent large production dozers.
• Knowledge of rock push operations and high-production environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate large production earthmoving equipment (primarily CAT D9/D10 bulldozers) to support rock push, mass excavation, site development, and material movement.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections and identify maintenance needs while maintaining production targets.
• Coordinate with excavators, haul trucks, loaders and other heavy equipment to move materials safely and efficiently.
• Assist with general labor duties when equipment operation is not required and work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts as project demands require.
