Job summary

Sterling Construction Company, Inc. in Boise, ID is seeking an experienced excavator operator to perform mass excavation and rock excavation on large-scale heavy civil projects.

You will operate CAT 395 and other large production excavators to load haul trucks and help meet production goals. This role requires at least five years of hands-on excavator experience, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience operating large production excavators.
• Experience loading haul trucks and meeting production goals.
• Willingness to perform laborer duties when not operating equipment.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-production environments.
• Valid driver's license required.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Excellent communication and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate CAT 395 and other large excavators to load haul trucks.
• Perform mass and rock excavation in heavy civil and similar sites.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections and assist with maintenance.
• Follow safety policies and site requirements.
• Support project operations with general labor as needed.
