Job summary

Wellbore Integrity Solutions in Houston, TX, seeks an experienced mechanical engineer to lead design projects for downhole tools across Wellbore Departure, Well Abandonment, Thru Tubing and Fishing, guiding products from concept to commercialization.

You will develop CAD models, run analyses, mentor junior engineers, coordinate with manufacturing and suppliers, conduct lab tests, and prepare technical reports and client presentations; 10+ years in oilfield tool design preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering.
Oil & Gas experience is essential.
10+ years in downhole tool design and product development.
Experience with drilling, remedial, milling or fishing tools.
Creativity, curiosity, product vision and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

Design, analyze, develop, maintain mechanical downhole tools from concept to product launch.
Perform standard engineering calculations and apply design standards.
Produce advanced analyses and mathematical models.
Coordinate with Manufacturing and outside suppliers to build prototypes for testing.
Create CAD models, assembly layouts, and component drawings.
Document test results and develop client presentations.
