Job summary

Weatherford is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Completion Team in Houston, TX. You will design and develop downhole oil and gas completion tools from concept through finished product using 3D CREO CAD modeling.

You will perform design analysis including advanced stress analysis and FEA, support hands-on prototype assembly and testing in a lab, and ensure compliance with API 11D1, API 19AC and other industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 7+ years of new product development design and validation experience.
• Experience with API 11D1 and API 19AC.
• Experience performing stress analysis on pressure vessels.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop downhole completion tools from concept to finished product.
• Perform complex stress analysis and FEA.
• Support hands‑on prototype assembly and testing in lab.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and testing teams.
