Job summary

LifeSkills Connection Inc. seeks a Senior Residential Advisor to work with the Residential team, ensuring a safe, clean and structured living environment for students.

The role focuses on individualized case management to support enrollment and success in the program. The position emphasizes guiding students through Career Success Standards, ethics, personal growth, and living skills while maintaining records and supervising dorm activities.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensure no manipulation of student data; Supervise students in the dorm and while on Center-sponsored activities.
• Instruct and counsels students regarding Career Success Standards and other skill development including but not limited to: Workplace relationships and ethics, Personal growth and development, Interpersonal skills, Information Management, Multicultural Awareness, Career and Personal Planning, Independent Living.
• Instruct personal conduct and social grace
• Assist in leadership training of students
• Inspect dorm areas, ensure cleanliness, safety, and attractiveness; Supervise dorm clean-up activities
• Act as advisor to Peer Court
• Participate in student case conferences
• Participate with the Counselor and Residential Living Manager in the development and implementation of student personal and social development plans
• Maintain current and accurate records of student personal and social development
• Maintain discipline in the assigned dorm and dorm area
• Maintain student accountability
• Maintain his or her shift incident log; ensure accuracy and completeness
• Act in the absence of the Residential Living Manager
• Assist in the development and training of RAs
• Work with the Residential Living Manager, Counselor, and other team members to support the effective case management of students on their caseloads
• Positively model, mentor and monitor students on the Job Corps Career Success Standards: Workplace Relationships and Ethics; Communications; Personal Growth and Development; Interpersonal Skills; Information Management; Multicultural Awareness; Career and Personal Planning; Independent Living Demonstrate and abide by LifeSkills Connection’s core values and operating principles
• Demonstrate and abide by LifeSkills Connections core values and operating principles
• Comply with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulation, Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) LifeSkills Connection’s policies and procedures, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures
• Participate in PRH mandated staff training; failure to participate may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination
• Other duties as assigned
