Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. at the Miami Job Corps Center seeks a Senior Residential Advisor to lead the Residential Living team, ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive living environment for students. You will direct staff, coordinate dormitory operations, and support student development and well-being.

You will mentor youth, oversee duties, training, records, and engagement activities while maintaining high standards of service and safety within a dynamic center setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of Job Corps or related program experience.
• Ability to supervise and mentor young adults.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the activities of Residential Advisors during the assigned shift.
• Supervise dormitory conditions and maintain a safe, productive environment.
• Assist with training, development, and evaluation of Residential Living staff.
• Perform Residential Advisor duties to ensure student safety and behavior.
• Complete administrative responsibilities involving passes, leaves, evaluations, and reports.
• Maintain accurate student records in the Center information system.
• Coordinate dormitory activities, entertainment, competitions, and other student engagement opportunities.
• Conduct dormitory inspections and address facility maintenance and safety needs.
• Direct dormitory patrols and daily cleanup activities.
• Monitor supplies and requisition items for operations and safety.
• Identify students needing additional support and coordinate visits with counselors.
• Communicate with families to resolve concerns and support well-being.
• Participate in orientation activities and social skills training.
• Provide positive and professional customer service to students, staff, families, and Center customers.
• Support and enforce the Job Corps Zero Tolerance Policy.
