Qualifications

• 7+ years of U.S. domestic freight/transportation experience.
• Proven management or senior leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of FTL, LTL, truckload, and domestic transportation.
• Experience managing carrier networks and negotiating freight rates.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee day-to-day domestic freight and transportation operations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of domestic freight professionals.
• Manage FTL, LTL, truckload, drayage, and other domestic transportation services.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, brokers, vendors, and customers.
• Negotiate freight rates, contracts, and transportation costs.
• Source and qualify carriers based on service requirements, pricing, and capacity.
• Monitor shipments from pickup through final delivery and resolve operational issues.
• Oversee carrier performance, service levels, claims, and delivery performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
• Support pricing, quoting, and business development activities.
• Monitor domestic freight margins, costs, and departmental performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable transportation regulations.
• Work closely with international forwarding, ocean, air, warehouse, and customer service teams.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships and act as an escalation point for key accounts.
• Analyze transportation data and KPIs to identify trends and areas for improvement.
