Job summary

Everforth ECS seeks a Systems Engineer to support IL5/IL6 programs at Ft. Meade, MD. You will design, install, and maintain a DoD Mission Partner Enclave's physical and virtual network infrastructure, reporting to the Project Manager in a high-energy environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with VMware ESXi/vCenter, Hyper-V, VDI, and cloud services (AWS/Azure). You will ensure STIG compliance, perform security testing, incident response, and produce SOPs and CONOPS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/STEM required.
• Active DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification required (e.g., Security+ or CISSP preferred).
• 10+ years of experience administering Windows and Linux environments.
• Strong VMware (ESXi/vCenter) and virtualization experience with VDI.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud services.
• Proven capability implementing STIGs and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Administer VMware ESXi/vCenter and Hyper-V environments.
• Design, install, and maintain enclave virtualization and VDI.
• Enforce DoD STIG compliance and security controls.
• Perform backups, patching, and disaster recovery planning.
• Develop SOPs, CONOPS, and network diagrams; document changes.
• Coordinate with teams and travel to data centers as needed.
• Provide incident response support and security assessments.
