Job summary

Reinventing Geospatial, Inc. (RGi) seeks a Systems Engineer to lead administration of Linux and Windows systems in secure, mission-critical DoD environments. You will provide Tier II/III support, manage VMware and KVM platforms, and implement STIG-compliant hardening and patching.

U.S. citizenship is required and active Top Secret clearance with SCI access is needed or ability to obtain; CI Polygraph is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline with 8-12 years of experience or Master’s with 6-10 years of experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification (Security+ CE, CASP+, CISSP).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government) and hybrid environments.
• Experience with Linux (RHEL or CentOS) and Windows Server administration.
• Proficiency with virtualization (VMware, KVM) and management tools.
• Experience with automation and scripting (Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Python).
• Familiarity with STIG, system hardening, ACAS scans, RMF processes.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking, identity/access management, and storage concepts.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, document, and lead systems projects.
• Experience supporting IC or DoD classified environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead administration of Linux and Windows systems in secure, mission-critical environments.
• Provide Tier II/III technical support and issue resolution.
• Manage server, storage, and virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM).
• Install, configure, harden, and patch systems per DoD STIGs and security policies.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations.
• Develop and maintain automation using Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, Python.
• Maintain system documentation and CM/RM artifacts.
• Lead system modernization, deployments, and infrastructure enhancements.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, network, and development teams for secure operations.
• Support security audits, incident response, and readiness.
