Reinventing Geospatial, Inc. (RGi) is seeking a senior Systems Engineer to manage secure Linux/Windows environments for DoD/IC programs. The role entails implementing STIG-based hardening, virtualization, automation, and cross-team collaboration to ensure mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline with 8–12 years’ exp, or Master’s with 6–10 years’ exp.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CASP+, CISSP).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government) and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with Linux (RHEL or CentOS) and Windows Server administration.
• Proficiency with virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM) and management tools.
• Experience with automation and scripting (Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Python).
• Familiarity with STIG compliance, RMF processes, ACAS scans.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking, IAM, and storage concepts.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, document, and lead systems projects independently.
• Experience supporting IC or DoD classified environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead administration of Linux and Windows systems in secure, mission-critical environments.
• Provide Tier II/III technical support and resolve hardware, software, and user issues.
• Manage server, storage, and virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM).
• Install, configure, harden, and patch systems per DoD STIGs and policies.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues, perform root-cause analysis.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations.
• Develop and maintain automation using Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, and related tools.
• Maintain system documentation and CM/RM artifacts.
• Lead system modernization, deployments and infrastructure enhancements.
• Partner with cybersecurity, network, and development teams for secure operations.
• Support security audits, incident response, and operational readiness.
