Job summary

Odyssey Systems Consulting Group, Ltd. seeks an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support a high-priority DoD acquisition mission at Fort Meade, MD. The role is full-time and onsite within the AFLCMC/HNC domain.

You will apply systems engineering expertise across the acquisition lifecycle, performing analyses, documenting findings, and delivering briefings to enable decision-makers. Emphasis on digital engineering and cybersecurity considerations. Candidates must be a U.S.

Qualifications

• Citizenship: U.S. citizen; Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Clearance must be maintained at TS/SCI eligibility.
• Education: Bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 10+ years of systems engineering experience, with at least 5 years supporting the DoD.
• Experience with USCYBERCOM and JCC2 programs (e.g., Joint Cyber Operations, Threat Awareness Sharing Capabilities).
• Knowledge of military operations planning, approval, and execution processes.
• Proficiency with computer networking fundamentals across multiple media (satellite, fiber, wireless).
• Strong technical writing ability for issue papers, briefings, and summaries.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environments with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level systems engineering support to DoD across the acquisition lifecycle.
• Conduct reviews on program portfolios to evaluate plans and improve systems engineering processes.
• Prepare technical documentation defining system/subsystem characteristics and develop management reports and briefings.
• Validate systems by developing criteria, procedures, and performance measures and analyzing test results.
• Provide technical and program engineering support across the lifecycle including development, integration, sustainment, deployment, and operations oversight.
• Support program and project risk management activities in line with SEAM processes.
• Conduct trade space analyses and cost-vs-capability studies for concept development and improvement.
• Implement Digital Engineering, Digital Thread, and Digital Twin techniques across lifecycles.
• Apply critical thinking and multi-objective decision analysis to solve complex engineering problems under deadlines.
